delhole

Saw the softer, or should I say sane side of delhi on our tour of the national museum and the india gate and some big ol tombs. It was nice to finally have a relaxing day of normal tourist destinations in some of the less chaotic parts of delhi. The structures are enormous and the architecture remarkable in some of the modern buildings and the more classical temples and masques. Went to a famous tomb with multiple building somewhat reminecent of Angkor but more like 15th century. On the first story of the main tomb there was a series the closed gates leading into dark cave like tombs. We navigated to the back of some of the corridors and found wonderful skylighting and thousands of small bats sleeping in massive clusters on the ceiling. were blasting out of delhi in the morning...thanks god, im starting to smell like a donkey cause the hot water just aint hot. the streets of india are like everything all at once...motorbikes, richshaws, cars, horse drawn carriages, elephants, gramas, bum fires, piss, and food plus a much much more. ive never rubbed shoulders with so many strangers in all my life.
